I set up Bikebuddha Yoga in 2016 with the aim of bringing yoga and relaxation to as many different people as possible. As someone who’s been involved in equality and diversity I wanted to use my knowledge and training to open up yoga and help make it inclusive.
I teach down-to-earth slow Hatha yoga for ordinary people who (like me) who have a few aches and pains. You don’t have to be super young or bendy to do my classes. Everyone’s welcome, whatever age, sex or fitness. Anyone can benefit from yoga – if you work on computers or building sites, do sports like mountain biking or boxing and have any type of body shape.
The name Bikebuddha came about because I was a keen cyclist and Buddhist and I’ve used it on social media for a long time.
I completed my 200 hours initial Yoga Teacher Training in 2017/18 with Yogacampus. I’ve also studied anatomy with Julie Gudmestad, Buddhism and yoga with Richard Freeman, Yoga Nidra with Melanie Cooper and Jennie Wadsten and chair yoga with Richard Kravetz.
I’m currently based in the north east of England and teaching online. I hope you will join me sometime for that wonderful thing that is yoga!
